NECTFL partners with the leaders and members of the 14 state and district associations that make up the NECTFL Region in a number of ways. At the Annual Conference, leaders from each of the organizations gather along with NECTFL leadership to collaborate and share ideas. The states and the District have a robust presence at the Annual Conference, with dedicated "Meet Your State Leaders" sessions. The 14 organizations nominate candidates for the Teacher of the Year Program, the Mead Innovation Fellowship, and the LEAP Program.
NECTFL seeks to be an impactful presence at the annual conferences of each of the membership organizations in the fall and spring. Additionally, NECTFL looks to offer its assistance as state and district organizations look to collaborate, plan, and innovate.
While NECTFL does have Institutional and Individual Advisory Council memberships, most people participate in NECTFL programming without being a member. Language teachers often find membership in their state and district organizations to be beneficial.
