Advisory Council

The NECTFL Advisory Council

The Advisory Council is made up of individuals and institutions that serve as an advisory body to the Board of Directors of NECTFL. Advisory Council members have made a commitment to the mission, vision, and goals of NECTFL, participating in NECTFL activities and stewarding the organization.

The Advisory Council is the body with the responsibility of nominating and voting on candidates to serve on the Board of Directors. Advisory Council members sit on NECTFL Committees in accordance with the bylaws of NECTFL.

Advisory Council Members support NECTFL financially with membership fees of $200 at the Institutional level and $100 at the Individual level.

Advisory Council Membership Benefits

Advisory council members receive discounts on some NECTFL products and services, including Annual Conference registration and up to ten (10) NECTFL Excellence in Language Study awards.

Advisory Council members are invited to join a plenary session at the Annual Conference to learn more about and offer insights and advice regarding NECTFL operations and strategies.

Advisory Council members nominate candidates for NECTFL's Brooks, Dodge, and Freeman awards.
