Charlene Bigelow (PSMLA)

Charlene Bigelow has taught French at all levels for more than 30 years. She serves as department chair, Société Honoraire de Français advisor, and Senior Class Advisor. She has led her department’s involvement in dual enrollment programs and professional development. In 2025, she and her wonderful colleagues received the highest PSMLA recognition for their language program. She loves sharing language and culture with students through international travel. She is involved in advocacy for Pennsylvania world language education, focusing on the value of language and cultural competence in academics and the working world. Charlene and her husband reside in Chester County and are the proud parents of three adult children, all of whom speak French.
