Affiliations
NECTFL is one of five regional organizations in the U.S. that belong to and work alongside the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). NECTFL is a member of The Joint National Committee for Language & The National Council for Language and International Studies (JNCL-NCLIS), an umbrella organization comprising professional organizations and businesses interested in furthering the teaching and learning of world languages. JNCL-NCLIS is our field’s lobby presence in Washington, D.C. NECTFL also holds a seat on the board of directors of the National Federation of Modern Language Teachers Associations, publisher of The Modern Language Journal.
